As of 1st January 2026, Ford UK has switched their breakdown recovery services from the AA to Allianz Recovery.
✓ Previous Service: The AA
Previously, breakdown recovery services included in Ford servicing packages were provided by the AA (Automobile Association). 📋 Diagnostic Training Concerns
There is evidence that Allianz technicians have not been adequately trained on Ford's own diagnostic systems. This means they may be unable to access live vehicle data, which is a fundamental requirement for diagnosing modern Ford vehicles at the roadside.
Untrained on Ford diagnostics:Technicians may lack the training needed to use Ford's diagnostic tools to read live data from the very vehicles they are dispatched to repair
Unable to diagnose faults: Without access to live data, intermittent or electronic faults cannot be properly identified, making a roadside fix unlikely
